This rustic tea bowl is handbuilt with slab technique and hand-painted with different colors, which remind us of water, earth and air. My inspiration for these type of cups comes from “Chawans”, the traditional Japanese tea drinking ceremony tea bowls. Their uniqueness and organic forms takes us closer to our true nature

Every item is unique, completely handmade and has gone through a slow handbuilding process. The process of making ceramics requires double firing. First it was bisque fired in the kiln, hand-glazed and fired once again.The second firing is at high temperature of 1280’C, which gives the ceramic durability and high quality. Material I work with is called stoneware. All items are glazed with food safe materials and can be washed in a dishwasher.
